hello!

many thanks to all of you, for the incredible support and love that you’ve given this random little blog in the past couple of days. really, it was a simple spur of the moment conception by one lone person who’s unemployment and free time compounded with some frustration over the totally irrational bigotry against muslims that has once again, become popularized in the media. but it’s that time of year again i suppose - election time in the US. if you’re eligible to vote, please remember to do so on november 2nd. that’s a week from this tuesday.

but i am incredibly heartened and overwhelmed by the completely unexpected and overwhelmingly positive feedback you’ve given this blog, and the many incredible, awesome, interesting, eye-opening submissions you’ve shared. thank you for your collaborative effort in sharing the fact that muslims aren’t to be feared or suspected, no matter what they are (or sometimes aren’t) wearing. and that a little wit and humor can be both fun and productive at the same time.

some of you have asked me questions - i’m happy to reply, but i can’t if you don’t give me an e-mail address! but if you do, i’ll do my best to answer what i can in a timely manner.

a number of you have asked me where you can get some sweet sweet muslim garb. if you’d like, you can click on one of the pics down below to peruse some things that muslim people (or all people, really) can wear. or you can skip it, that’s cool too.
